Am 24. Juni 2010 wurde in Rasht eine neue vertikale Sonnenuhr eingeweiht.

Dear friends,
Four years ago, we fixed a sundial on the wall of an old building near the central square of Rasht (Gilan province). It was removed for restoration of the building about 1.5 years ago. Recently, we restorated the sundial and returned it to its place. Today (21 June, 31 Khordad, summer solstice) is the Iranian National Sundial Day and we are glad that the sundial is again observable at the beginning of the street which ends to the road towards the Caspian Sea.

Diese Anmerkung muß aber schon sein:
Die ursprüngliche Gestaltung hatten sehr tüchtige junge iranische Frauen übernommen!
Bei dieser neuen Fassung scheinen nur Männer am Werk gewesen zu sein.
O wenn die halt nur endlich sehen würden, was für tolle Frauen sie haben
und wenn sie diese nicht ständig ängstlich verstecken würden!
